7-Pinnacle Training:
Assignment Scores

Step1

After Defining Categories and Defining Assignments, selecting View>Assignments will show a score grid with the assignments along the top and the students names down the left side. You will be able to place scores in the grid for each student.

Always calculate at least one student by hand to verify that your category(ies) and assignments are set up properly.

Possible assignment values include numeric and letter values. The letter values include an "X" and a "Z".

An “X” is interpreted as EXCUSED, where the assignment will not count against a student.

A “Z” carries a value of zero. The meaning of "Z" is open for interpretation and should be defined by the teacher.

Some teachers use "Z" to indicate that an assignment was never been turned in and will no longer be accepted. Others use "Z" to indicate an assignment that was never turned in, but still be will be accepted.

The specific definition of a "Z" is up to the classroom teacher. This definition should be shared with the students and with parents.

If the score field is left blank, the assignment will not be included in any calculations.

A zero, on the other hand, will be included in the calculations.
